Trama:
Nel 1944 l'ereditiera Florence Foster Jenkins è tra le protagoniste dei salotti dell'alta societa` newyorchese. Mecenate generosa, appassionata di musica classica, Florence, con l'aiuto del marito e manager, l'inglese St. Clair Bayfield, intrattiene l'élite cittadina con incredibili performance canore, di cui lei e` ovviamente la star. Quando canta, quella che sente nella sua testa come una voce meravigliosa, e` per chiunque l'ascolti orribilmente ridicola. Protetta dal marito, Florence non verrà mai a conoscenza di questa verità . Solo quando Florence deciderà di esibirsi in pubblico in un concerto alla Carnegie Hall, senza invitati controllati, St. Clair capirà di trovarsi di fronte alla più grande sfida della sua vita.
